Charles (Karl Wilhelm August) Blum Berlin, 1786; +Berlin, 2nd July, 1844. Blum's achievements in other areas of the arts prevented him from writing a more substantial body of works for the guitar, but with the guitar as his instrument of choice the works he left behind display a high level of technical skill both in the writing and in the physical techniques they infer.
