Since the democratic transition in 1994 the South African government has committed to take on the challenge of acting as a moral agent architect for its citizens. The book is written through the lens of a feminist analysis on land tenure security. It is a well narrated and research project. It includes an analysis of various acclaimed academic authors who hold the knowledge concerning land, gender and tenure security in South Africa. The book has insights on customary law, traditional authority and the conflict and challenges that arise due to the allocation of land to woman, challenges on woman's rights to own and administer land spark a lengthy debate. The government need to build a relationship regarding indigenous traditional customs and western models of democratic systems and create institution that will be dedicated to gender related issues. Women rights should be protected and recognised especially concerning land tenure. security.The government of South Africa should critically assess its land reform policies and needs to constantly create harmony between what has been a divided society, even in their modern policies.

About the Author:
I graduated from the University of South Africa with a B. Arts degree in Political Sciences. Completed my studies with Rhodes University to obtain a B. Arts (Hons) degree majoring in politics. Currently I'm completing my Masters Degree majoring in politics with the University of South Africa. I aspire to be a mediator.
