Born in Park Falls, WI, October 31, 1919. Professed as a monk of Saint John's Abbey, Collegeville, MN, July 11, 1940.. Ordained a priest, September 2, 1945. Earned degrees at the University of Ottawa, Canada, M.A. in Philosophy, 1946, and at Columbia Teachers College, New York, M.A. in Mathematics Education, 1961.
