About the Authors

Tatsuyuki Tanaka is an animation director and illustrator born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan in 1965. Beginning with original art for the movie AKIRA, Tanaka has been active in anime and game-related illustrated contents and original art for projects such as the original video animation Eternal Family, image boards for TV’s Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, character design for the game Linda3 (under the name CANNABIS) and more.

In addition to directing, illustrating and art direction as creator of original art for the promotional video Utada – FLUXIMATION #12 Wonder 'Bout, and directing, animating, and art directing for Genius Party Beyond TOUJIN Kit, in recent years, Tanaka has done illustrations for numerous titles such as Yokohama Station SF in addition to handling weapon design for the live-action movie GANTZ, story boards for Rashad Haughton’s music video Love Like Aliens and Akai Koen’s music video Koshin, and cover illustrations for numerous books.
