Lynn Visson is one of the most experienced UN simultaneous translators in our country, with many years of service under her belt. She works in New York, where she was born and raised by her family, who has a history of Russian ancestry. Visson studied at Harvard, where she received her doctorate, and then worked as a professor of Russian language and literature at Columbia University. She went on to teach at several other universities in the US. Visson has long been a participant in the scientific and cultural exchange between Russia and the US, writing many articles and a number of books on Russian themes. For the last 20 years, Visson has worked as a translator from Russian and French into her native English. This educational supplement represents an accumulation of her translation experience.
