English summary: Words are at best ineffectual in capturing a scent or odor. One might describe the scent of hawthorn as golden amber mixed with guano sifted in the sun, but these words can only by chance inspire their reader to imagining the real scent of the flower. Nevertheless, the present volume leads readers along a perfumed, floral path.
