Brief story: In the 1960s, surfers traveled south from the U.S. in search of the perfect wave, but Ignacio Félix Cota, from Ensenada, Baja California, was one of the first to introduce the sport of surfing in Mexico. Nacho Félix made history by winning a world championship in San Diego, California, in 1965. Other pioneers of this wet and wild ride were Arturo Monroy, Rodrigo Huerta, Juan García, Luis Skeen and Alfonso Polidura.
