ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
The Nazis want to silence her, but she will not remain quiet.
1920. Although the world has changed after World War I, it is still dominated by men. Even someone as bold as Niki Rittenhaus, a young actress, needs to forge alliances to stand out. Her marriage to Rickard Länger, a film producer in Berlin, seems convenient for both, until he begins producing Nazi propaganda. Deeply disappointed, Niki abandons her dream of becoming a movie star and writes A Woman in Berlin, a novel denouncing the horrors of the new German ideology.
The work is a success, and although she publishes it under a pseudonym, she knows that the Third Reich's control grows stronger every day and that her writing puts her in danger. Despite managing to escape from Rickard, he is not willing to let her go easily, so he tries to keep her by having Hitler's brownshirts kidnap her daughter. Desperate, Niki flees to Holland and joins the resistance, determined to confront the regime trying to silence her and to reclaim her daughter.
