About the Author:
William Morris (1834–1896) was a British writer medievalist, political activist, artist and textilist associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and British Romanticism. His literary works include numerous translations of Germanic and Classical epics and fantasy romances, which would later influence such luminary authors as C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien. He is widely acknowledge as the father of the modern fantasy genre.
