Economics of Cropping systems in the Command area of Natuwadi Irrigation project was undertaken. In study area, three main rice based cropping systems were identified for detail analysis as per objectives, those were i) Rice-Fallow cropping system adopted by 21 farmers, ii) Rice - Rice cropping system adopted by 33 farmers and iii) Rice- Groundnut cropping system adopted by 22 farmers. The per hectare cost of cultivation worked out lo Rs.35461.38 in Rice - Groundnut cropping system followed by Rice-Rice (Rs.27792.88) and Rice - Fallow cropping system (Rs. 23617.48). The per hectare total returns received from Rice Groundnut system was Rs.35072.68 followed by Rice - Rice (Rs 23266.54) and Rice - Fallow cropping system (Rs.13971.00) respectively. The functional analysis showed that on all the farms most of the available resources were found to use in excess quantity.
