Synopsis
During his short life time, except for many short stories, novelettes and three unaccomplished novels, Kafka had written many letters, diaries, notes, essays and proverbs, which make two thirds volume of the whole collection. A Collection of Kafkas Works, Volume 4: brief works (letters, diaries, talks, proverbs and plays) includes a small part of his works, mainly diaries, letters and talks in which Kafka talks about his own works and the famous letters to his father and his girl friend. Kafka and his girl friend started to write letters to each other at April, 1920, which lasted for about a year and a half; and these letters were the strongest ant most sincere passions of his life, thus bearing rich literature value.
