Synopsis
The book is divided into four sections in total. The first series includes articles on events, which is a compilation of recalling articles about the turbulent uprisings and personal experiences in this big change in 1911 written by revolutionaries, servicemen in the New Army , intellectuals, former bureaucrats, members of business groups,students and so on from the core outbreaking areas of the revolution such as: Wuchang, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang,Shanghai and Shanxi. The second series includes articles about characters, recalling, from the perspective of a witness, the influential men in Xinhai Revolution who are all his friends, such as Sun Yat-sen and Huang Xin, the founding fathers and Wu Luzhen and Peng Jiazhen, the revolutionary martyrs. The last series includes articles about revolutionary groups, public opinions and others, compiling several recalling articles written by members of the Chinese Revolutionary League and Restoration League and by the former editors for the revolutionary newspapers at that period.
