Synopsis
A comprehensive step-by-step course specifically designed to suit the needs of all children beginning the piano. This book makes it clear in the very beginning that it is very important to reflect on and feel music with musical phrase as the unit. Teachers should arouse the attention of the students: using different music processing methods to play every musical phrase (one may play the music according to personal understanding of it) is one of the basic techniques of piano playing. Key touching: beyond doubt, key touching is a very important step in piano playing. Musical scale and chord: the learning of semitone and whole tone is followed by the composition of musical scale, and music examples with scale as melody and figure of accompaniment. And then ditties made up of chord of vertical integration and decomposition are used to show students triad and inversion. Seventh chord (and its inversion) is taught to the students simply as a chord form instead of being analyzed in terms of harmonics, and they should be asked to remember such a chord, as it will often appear in the music scores at the present stage.
