After a sucessfull launch of the first volume covering the period from 1900 - 1938 in January 2011, we are going to offer you another part with one of the most interesting and rich era of the Century, 1939 - 1969. The Second World War, Holocoust, Propaganda, beginning of Avant-garde, Magnum, Bresson s decisive moment and much more is included in the publication. For two years, more than 40 experts on photography were researching and writing stories on photography in 35 countries in order to bring a comprehensive and complex information in the field from Albania to Ukraine. The aim of this huge project is to create a complex source of information not only for professionals but also for students and broader public interested in photography, history and arts. Each chapter gives a complete picture of the situation and background for the creation of photography of the era including biographies of the most significan figures in photography of the time, significant sources of research, chronologics with technical, cultural and photographic developement and much more.
