Croatia - Dalmatian Islands North 1:100,000 Cycling Map, 2012 edition GEOTOUR
This double sided topographic map, designed specifically for cyclists, covers the coastal section from Omis to Podaca, extending some 10 - 15 km ( 6 - 10 miles) inland but is focussed on the adjacent islands of Drvenik, Solta, Brac, Hvar, Scedro, Vis, Korcula and a northern tip of Peljesac.
The map provides an excellent balance between coverage of a sufficiently wide area and detailed road presentation, plus topographic information not found on regular road maps. The map carries all the usual information expected from topographic maps at this scale: peaks, glaciers, passes, caves, sink holes, names of mountain ranges and other geographical features, marinas, diving sites, administrative boundaries, etc.
The terrain is shown at detailed scale of 1:100,000 (1 inch = 1.58 miles) with contour interval 20 m. Additional colouring shows different types of vegetation or land use (forest, shrubland, swamp). It shows roads from the coastal motorway to unpaved roads to trails and local footpaths as well as car ferries. Other tourist information indicated by symbols includes campsites, beaches, huts, refuges, ship wrecks, notable sites, etc. Map legend is in Croatian, English and Czech. Sheet size 96 x 66 cm / 37.5 x 26 in.
The reverse includes informative text on main localities of interest (that are highlighted in the map) in Croatian, English and Czech, with many colour pictures and a list of diving centres with contacts.
For the southern Adriatic islands see map 9788090501102.
