About the Author:

Late P. Ramachandran (PhD) was a research consultant, Valmar International, Applied Behavioral Sciences Research, Mumbai. He authored around 30 books and published around 40 articles on health education and women empowerment. C.A.K. Yesudian (PhD) is Dean, School of Health Systems Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Being a visionary, Dr. Yesudian has planned and implemented many strategies in the areas of Health system studies and knowledge generation and sharing. He has worked as a Manager, Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research in WHO. K. R. Thankappan (PhD) is Professor and Head, Achuta Menon Centre for Health Science Studies, Sree Chitra Tirumal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Kerala. After completing his MBBS from Kerala medical college, Dr. Thankappan did his MPH from Harvard School of Public Health, USA. He also worked as an Advisor for WHO Myanmar and WHO South-east Asia. P. Sankara Sharma (PhD) is Professor (Biostatistics), Achuta Menon Centre for Health Science Studies, Sree Chitra Tirumal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Kerala.
