Book Summary of Reproductive Biology The aim of this book on Reproductive Biology is to put researchers and students engaged indifferent areas of research on a common platform so as to be benefited by thecurrent state of knowledge in the field of reproduction. In order to review theexplosion of scientific knowledge and progress made during recent years, thecontributions were intended to cover three relevant frontline areas i.e. molecular biology ofreproduction, contraception and environment with special reference toreproduction. The special thrust areas included in the book are currentunderstanding of the cellular mechanisms of contraceptive vaccines, contraceptive agents, hormone antagonists, steroid hormones mediated regulation, and genes for the reproductive hormones. Topics covered also include gapjunctions and action in intercellular communication in molluscan endocrine cellsand nature of adrenoceptors in ruminants. The book also highlights the therapeutic aspects of the various environmental andoccupational hazards due to toxicant exposure. It is hoped that this volume willsatisfy the reader's quest for knowledge.
