Prashanth Suravajhala is a Master in Biotechnology from Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur, India. Currently he is a PhD student at Department of Life Sciences, Roskilde University Centre, Denmark. As a computational biologist, he has been a freelancer for the past few years. He administers biospot.org, an educative blog that allows biologists and the laymen to peg views and thoughts on the bio-news. Bioinformatics and computational biology fascinates Suravajhala and like many enthusiasts of his generation, he would like to see India a spearhead in this booming field.
