Synopsis
Tras la muerte de una entrañable amiga, Carlos Alberto sufre una depresión. Su madre lo lleva un psiquiatra, que le confía a un colega paralítico cerebral. Carlos se enfrentará a los prejuicios de su madre y aprenderá nuevos valores y el verdadero sentido de la responsabilidad.

About the Author
Montserrat del Amo nació en Madrid el 15 de junio de 1927. En 1976 se licenció en Filosofía y Letras, especializada en Literatura Hispánica, en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Estudió, además, en la Escuela Superior de Comercio el grado de Perito Mercantil. Aprendió el oficio de cajista de imprenta. Enseñó Lengua y Literatura hasta que en 1985 dejó la docencia para dedicarse plenamente a la creación literaria, a la promoción de la lectura y a prestarse a toda aquella actividad que suponga un contacto con el lector y un estímulo. Su obra ha sido nominada dos veces para el Premio Hans Christian Andersen y ha sido traducida a varios idiomas. Dos creaciones suyas han sido adaptadas a televisión: Patio de corredor, emitida por TV española en cinco capítulos en 1966, y Zuecos y naranjas en 1968. Durante su trayectoria ha obtenido diversos galordones, entre los que se encuentran el Premio CCEI por La casa pintada en 1993, el Nacional de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil en 1978 por El nudo, el Premio Lazarillo de literatura infantil y juvenil en 1960 por Rastro de Dios o el Premio de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil Cervantes Chico1993 por el conjuto de su obra o el Premio Iberoamericano de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil en 2007.
