This book is started from the phenomenon that a new religion’s founder who he had insisted physical immortality but died but many votaries long for the founder’s rebirth regarding that the founder’s death is Bogang. What is the root and process of this belief of physical immortality? This book is not for the phenomenological analysis or sociological, philosophical, ideological religious theory of two new religion, Chunbukyo and Victor Altar that insist physical immortality but is for the study of religion with anthropological, historical methodology, in particular, using the participant observation for long time. The author studied the two religion’s the belief of physical immortality centering of the core identity, principle of Blood.

The author, Jongsuk Kim was born in Kyungbuk province in Korea in 1969. He received his Ph.D. in Religious Studies at Sunmoon University in 2009. Jongsuk Kim is currently researching messianic movements and millennial movements in Korea and he is the director of the Institute of the History of Korean Messianic Movements. And he also works as an undertaker, operating the funeral company "Bonhyang" to support the socially disadvantaged.
