Synopsis
Very good translation. Out of print. Exquisite full color images of Johfra's paintings. The signs of the zodiac have been drawn in much the same way for hundreds of years. Only in painting was there some scope for new interpretation. Johfra used the essence of each sign to meditate on as many of its aspects as possible. He combined several symbols, all of which would have a bearing on the particular sign, giving each painting more background and allowing the spectatular more scope for free association. In this way, the 12 signs of the zodiac beacame a cycle of twelve meditations following the course of the zodiac.
