Bimal Kumar Mishra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in Operational Research and M.Sc. in Mathematics from University of Delhi. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree, he earned his D.Sc. degree from Berhampur University, Berhampur, Orissa. He was associated with Mathematics Group BITS, Pilani for almost six years. He published books on Optimization and Mathematical Modeling. He has published books on Optimization and Mathematical Modeling. He has published more than fifty research papers in journals of repute and is the editor-in-chief of International Journal of Mathematical Modeling, Simulation and Applications. His research interest is in the field of Cyber attack and Defense and is also working in the area of epidemiology and models on blood flow.
