(Re)Solving Violence in America was born from the angst I felt at the epidemic of murder in our homes, cities, and nation. This book explores the many forms of violence (sexual violence, gun violence, media violence), the places of violence (home, school, work, the public sphere), and seeks their (re)solution.
We resolve to solve the problem of violence in America. The contributors are students in my Seminar in Social Psychology, taught at Pitzer College, Fall, 2015. We offer concise reviews of literature, hundreds of social science references, and conclude with strategies to bring about World Peace.
