Shadow boxing (taijiquan) is one of the famous branches of Chinese martial arts. More than 300 years have passed since it's spread at the beginning of the Qing Dynasty. Shadow boxing has been contributing to the physical fitness of the Chinese people since Liberation. Different schools of the art all have the need to develop so that the art can suit the needs of different people. Meanwhile, their parallel development can promote mutual assimilation. In inheriting the martial arts legacy, the urgent task now is to continue researching and sorting out different schools of shadow boxing to get their essence and specific training methods.
