Vision de Anahuac is an evocation of the artistic image of the ancient city of Tenochtitlan Mexico, or as it appeared in 1519 to the eyes of the Spanish conquistadors. Ifigenia Cruel is one of Reye's early texts, a drama-tragic poem and posterior theathre play, with which he closes one of the most intense periods of his life and work, this will be, in the words of its author, 'mythology of the present and unloading excesive of personal suffering '. This work was brought to scene twice, in 1934 and 1958. These two long poems, the first on prose and the second on verse, were written on the beginning and end of his stay in Madrid, that stretched from 1914 to 1924. Alfonso Reyes recorded for the UNAM, in August and September 1959, Vision of Anahuac and Ifigenia Cruel, two of its most beautiful and meaningful works. This book and CD gather these memoirs.
