Quoting from the author "The prograss of man has always been dependent upon the power of leadership. But the significance of leadership in the 2lst century will be, by far, the most important discovery of all the saga of man to date. We have just begun to understand the power and potential of leadership . . ."
This book has been called compelling, powerful, and challenging in its message to leaders. It has been suggested that the book responds to the call for a text which understands the concept of "real" leadership.
"The Leaderis the Servant" encompasses a re-conceptualization of an age-old leadership model and integrates that philosophy into today's leadership domain. The book presents a paradigm shift toward the new demands of leadership and provides definition between the 'style' and 'substance' of leadership. The book captures the significance of women in leadership roles and presents the historical conctruct of leadership development. Most importantly, the book prepares emerging leaders for their future -- the loss of anonymity.
