"I am truly grateful that a scholarly work done by Lasallians, with support from the Asian University Digital Resource Network (AUDRN) that documents the presence, the magnificence and overall importance of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the life of the faithful in the Province of Cavite is finally made into a book. It took years before this could become a reality but then this could be the appointed time for this work to finally be realized. That this work weaves together three different aspects in appreciating the role of the blessed Virgin Mary namely, history, art and religiosity, suggests the kind of impact Mary has on the Province of Cavite -- an impact that will remain popular and important to those who value the Blessed Virgin Mother as their own Mother. Indeed, devotion to the Blessed Virgin is an essential part of the province's Catholic faith as evidenced by the number of her venerated images from the ten different parishes in the Diocese of Imus -- a testament to the importance the people give on the role of Mary in the life of the Church. Thus, without a doubt this book will definitely strengthen our faith in Mary who we believe is our guide in our journey as a church. Thus, with esteem and appreciation, I congratulate Tek, Annie and Aido together with AUDRN for this important work. It is my hope that this book -- behind finding its way to our collections at the Ablating Emilio Aguinaldo -- should find its way to the hearts of the members of the academic community and to the rest of faithful in the province of Cavities terms of growing more in there appreciation of Mary as Mother of us all. Salamat. Sincerely, Br. Gus L Boquer FSC, EdD President and Chancellor De La Salle University - Dasmarinas
