About the Author
About the Author - Virginia Morris' interest in anthropology, history and natural history was seeded from trips across the world, but later became focused on Asia. She spent two years in Laos, the first working for the United Nations Development Program and the second travelling in remote areas undertaking research for the present book. She holds a PhD in Engineering gained at 27, and is presently a partner in an engineering consultancy in the UK.
About the Photographer - Clive Hills has always been passionate about photography and began a professional career as a freelance journalist in 1985, covering the war in Afghanistan. He has served six years in the armed forces as a member of the Parachute Regiment, and has also managed construction projects in the Far East. He holds a First Class BA on Contemporary Media from the University of Westminster and currently practises as an architectural and social documentary photographer in the UK.
