About the Author

Erin McCloskey is an author, editor and environmentalist with a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Environmental and Conservation Sciences. She has been involved in a number of conservation projects around the world. Erin lived for several years in California where she wrote this as well as the Northern California Nature Guide. She is the author of many titles in this series as well as many additional natural history books for Lone Pine Publishing.
