Onwumere, the brave one witnessed the evil of mankind when Nzem his younger brother was raped by a bastard called Umelo. His destiny led him to a great hunter with whom he later followed home as an apprentice. There, his life was shaped but unfortunately his future was entangled with an early death. Prior to his death, he begot two sons, Kamanu and Obiefule. Kamanu was brave from birth and grew up into a man of valour. He was long foretold to draw his strength from the Sun and that the spirit of Kamanu would be bestowed on him. That came the meaning of his name: Kamanu. He was meant to be with some supernatural fellows like the Rain-boy and the wizard who would fight in a quest to restore the lost authority and redeem the land from the hand of king Ari who paraded himself as god. Kamanu gained his fame when he defeated Dimkpa the immortal warrior of king Ari in a wrestling contest, and thereafter journeyed to the Dark River of oath alongside his first companions: Agada the wizard and Umezu the ironsmith plus an archer. Beyond this Dark River of Oath they encountered a very powerful witch who lost her life to the sword of Kamanu. There they discovered a mysterious creature called edere which was the last of its kind. Still on his quest for redemption, he met a young king of Umunakara who was about to make a wrong judgment. But with profound humility and wisdom, he was able to convince this young king into giving a right verdict, and thereby brought justice and equity. He also questioned the detestable mores among the people. Kamanu conquered some deadly beasts which emerged to destroy the people of Isieke. With the help of the wizard he traveled to an invisible utopia created by another powerful witch called Nchtam, and there he met his new companion named Nsotu: a mysterious lady who was also a palmist. In his quest, they met a new companion called Oma: an Osu outcast. On this path, Agada proffered a sure solution to ending the long lasted Osu outcast among the people. Before his fulfillment against king Ari, he traveled to Uguta Lake which history referred to as the river of separation according to Agada, where some spiritual work was done to save the life of a young man.
