Review:

WHEN it comes to dating, women can often be their own worst enemies. From selling themselves short to having impossible standards to moving too fast, many of them unwittingly sabotage their own attempts at finding their perfect partner. Matchmaker Violet Lim has seen all this and more; she has, after all, set up 15,000 first dates through her dating agency for thousands of single men and women. She is the founder of dating services like LUNCH Actually, eteract.com and eSynchrony.com in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as executive director of the Matchmaking Institute, South-East Asia. After six years in the business, Lim has decided to share her experiences to help women find the right man. She has written a book called Lessons From 15,000 First Dates. --The Star Newspaper

This book is a must read for any woman that is single and wondering why she has not found Mr. Right. Crucial secrets are revealed by Violet that may be hard to take but in the end may save a lot of heart ache. Important eye openers are provided in a well organized way so that the reader can take immediate action to becoming more successful in the search for love. I have read a lot of relationship books that try and soft sell obstacles women may have when dating but this book gets right to the point so there is no confusion as to how to take a more proactive approach to successful dating. Violet offers her many year of profession experience and consolidates all she has learned for the reader to help avoid key pitfalls in the dating and relationship process. I have been a matchmaker for many years and I found myself being inspired and exited about this book. I highly recommend it! --Lisa Clampitt Co-founder of the Matchmaking Institute and owner of VIP Life

WITH dating guidebooks flooding the market, you might think that Violet Lim s Lesson From 15,000 First Dates is another one filled with dating cliches. Conversely, it is a tour-de-force featuring hard-to-digest dating tips. Terms like 'right men' and 'true happiness' are interwoven with hard facts which, the author herself admits, are politically incorrect. So politically incorrect that they will make you have a love-hate relationship with her book. Statements like 'Why beautiful and successful women finish last in dating' or 'If you don't care about your looks' then who will will probably raise eyebrows. The polarity of the responses is what makes this book a feat. --The Sun Newspaper
