About the Author

Feng Jun (Editor) is the former Vice President of Renmin University of China, Professor and Dean at the School of Philosophy of Renmin University of China, and Standing Vice Dean of the China Executive Leadership Academy. He was also a Senior Visiting Scholar at Oxford University in 1994. His areas of research cover western philosophy, humanities and cultural exchange; he has published several books, and more than fifty articles in renowned periodicals and key academic magazines in China. Jane Elliott (Translator) is a native English speaker with a profound knowledge of legal, scientific and other technical terms in both Chinese and English. She studied Chinese at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University, and at Fudan University, Shanghai. From 1980 to 2005 she worked for the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office; nine of these years were spent in Hong Kong.
