About the Author:

Ruth Wairimu Karani has written prize-winning plays in English, Swahili and Kikuyu. She has also contributed children's stories to daily newspapers. Kham (James Kamawira) is editorial cartoonist for the East African Standard in Nairobi. He is also the creator of "Bongoman," a cartoon character which has also appeared in book form.
