Synopsis

Tomando motivos clásicos de la novela policial o detectivesca, Saer despliega en La pesquisa, con una destreza inusitada y por momentos paralizante, una novela sobre la opacidad del ser humano para consigo mismo, sobre la inminencia del tiempo cuya medida es inaccesible a seres finitos y fragmentados que apenas saben leer sus huellas en el deterioro de los cuerpos, en la desaparición de los seres amados, en el herrumbre arenoso de la memoria o en el cambio repentino y turbio de las estaciones, todo puesto en escena con la prosa extenuante y serpenteada que se había puesto en movimiento casi treinta años atrás, cuando el autor santafesino diera a conocer sus primeros libros.
La pesquisa es una novela poco menos que ineludible en esa vasta constelación que es la escritura de Saer. Una pieza maestra, oblicua e indirecta, de la que irradian los nombres y las obsesiones que mantendrán en pie durante años su obra.
