This book gives a pedagogical presentation of the recent progresses of aggregation and fractal aggregates. It also describes the physical properties of fractal structures and introduces two main theoretical models of aggregation. They are the particle-aggregation model, which includes the famous Witten-Sander model, and the cluster-cluster aggregation model, which is able to describe aggregation experiments on colloids and aerosols.

"It is readable for a wide range of scientists with a clear and economical exploraton of fractal objects and dimensions. This book places the new theoretical treatments of aggregation firmly in context and should enable the non-specialist to achieve an overview of the field. The book is very good value for money." -- Chemistry in Britain, London
