"Shree Hanuman Chalisa" is a hymn glorifying Lord Hanumanji, who is described as an example of unconditional devotion. This poetical text was written in the 16th century by famous Indian poet Goswami Tulsidas in Avadhi language (Hindi dialect). This poem is one of the best-known Hindu scriptures. In this book Prof. Suhrit Dey presents the translation of these verses and explanations inspired by his spiritual experiences. The word "Chalisa" means number "40". Thus this poem consists of 40 verses.
