The theme adopted for the OSSREA's 9th Congress, Africa in the 21st Century: Setting of New Social Science Research Agendas, recognized the daunting challenges that Africa continues to grapple with, while remaining resilient and seeking new ways of engaging in order to contend with developmental imperatives.
