Arthur C. Clarke was considered to be the greatest science fiction writer of all time. Stith's copy with his name to the front endpage. "MR AND MRS JOHN STITH" and an imprint of a tree also stamped to each endpaper in the front of the book. Good book and dust jacket. Light cover soil. The rear endpage has bookplate remnants, while the rear endpage has the ink notation "FICTION". Adhesive residue from where the jacket was taped to the endpapers. Otherwise clean, free of marks and VG. Jacket a bit shelfworn with some rubbing and edge creasing. In protective mylar cover.
