Many people know the Apostle John as the writer of one of the Bible's four Gospels, or perhaps as "the disciple Jesus loved." But did you know that he was also a prisoner on a desolate island called Patmos? This rocky little island on the Mediterranean Sea was once used as a place of exile for convicts. From this remote prison island, the best friend of Jesus wrote what we now call the Book of Revelation.
Journey back in time through these colorful pages to discover who John was and why his Roman captors couldn't help but notice how different he was from the other prisoners. In this story, the curious Roman guard, Riktor, listens as John recounts His life with Jesus — from His first miracle to His death and resurrection.

This illustrated version of From Patmos was written by worship leader and playwright, Justin Rizzo, and illustrated by artist and illustrator, Mikayla Maher. It is based on the original musical turned stage film of the same name, written by Justin Rizzo, Alice Larson Scott, and Kelsey White. The story From Patmos is proudly presented here by Firelight Creative in a format accessible to children of all ages.
