Each day and night, millions of adult caregivers journey tirelessly with their loved ones, neighbors, and even strangers who need someone to help them navigate very tough health and life challenges. These acts of love are blessings to those who are vulnerable, however they can also bring tremendous stresses and, especially, crises of faith to caregivers. Peace in the Storm for Caregivers is a faith-affirming, life-supporting devotional written from experience and sound, compassionate spiritual and theological perspective. Within these pages, the stressed and questioning caregiver will find encouragement in scripture, openings for spiritual growth in prayer and assurance of God's abiding love, joy, and peace, in and through it all! The book contains more than 100 meditations based on passages from the Old and New Testament and a prayer at the end of each reflection on the Bible passage. A special section called "After Caregiving" also addresses some of the feelings and issues that caregivers feel immediately after they are no longer caregiving for their loved one, whether due to death or other circumstances. Peace in the Storm for Caregivers is written from the author's experience, deep abiding Christian faith, and sound spiritual and theological education. It is, to date, the only devotional for caregivers that has been granted the Imprimatur, ecclesial approval that the book is free from any error in Catholic doctrine or moral teaching.

About the Author
Maureen Pratt, MTS, MFA, is an award-winning Catholic author, speaker, retreat leader, and founder of The Peace in the Storm Project, a national, pastorally focused ministry for caregivers and persons with chronic illness and pain. She holds a Master of Theological Studies from the Jesuit School of Theology at Santa Clara University and a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University. Maureen has been a family caregiver and lives with multiple chronic illnesses including lupus. Her website is www.maureenpratt.com.
