First quarto Edition deluxe, (11 x 8.25 inches), sheets are untrimmed 10 7/8 x 8 inches, pp. xviii, (2), (1), 2-432; xiv, (2), (1), 2-416; 20 hand colored etched plates printed on China paper and hand mounted, numerous b/w engraved illustrations printed on China paper with captions in red hand mounted throughout. Original gilt and black pictorial blue-gray cloth, beveled sides, untrimmed. Tooley (1979) pp. 244-247 lists #295 Punch Office 8vo edition 1847- (1848), #296 the original 20 parts (1846-48) in 8vo, #297 the "undated" Bradbury Evans 8vo edition, and with the latter notes reissues in 1863 and 1881 "and an Edition de Luxe undated with illustrations on China paper".
