About this Item

141 pp. 48 lithograph plates; 4to, contemporary half black calf and boards. Originally published in 1853 by Daniel Burgess & Co., who also published a second edition in 1855. OCLC locates 10 or so each of the 1853 and 1855 editions, but none of this 1857 edition (microform only). Covers fairly worn overall, especially at spine ends and corners of boards, scattered foxing, tideline to top third of first 30 pages (most visible at front endpapers, diminishing progressively), still a very servicable and presentable copy, near very good.
