About this Item

Swiggart's thesis is that Faulkner's work can be viewed as an extraordinary attempt to transform the panorama of man's social experience into thematic material. He sees Faulkner's novels as romances.albeit a dark, inward kind of book, more concerned with stylized metaphysical sets of mind and psychological archetypes than with real people moving in a recognizable social context. Book is tightly bound, with no names, markings, or similar flaws. DJ is price-clipped with some edgewear, esp. at the spine ends which are starting to chip and one closed tear on the top front panel. Still bright and clean in a mylar cover. Bookseller Inventory # 001569
