II has Part I. - MISCELLANEOUS. Part II. - AMONG THE MORMONS. With comic illustrations by Mullen. Artemus Ward or Charles Farrar Browne was born April 26, 1834 and died on March 6, 1867. He was a United States humor and comic writer. His career started as a compositor and occasional contributor to the daily and weekly journals. In 1858, he published in The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio where the first of the "Artemus Ward" series, which, in a collected form, achieved great popularity in both America and abroad in England. In 1860, Ward became editor of Vanity Fair, a humorous New York weekly that failed. Artemus Ward was the favorite author of President Abraham Lincoln. Ward's health gave way, and he died of tuberculosis at Southampton on March 6, 1867. COMPETITIVE PRICING!
