What can I say, it's Hemingway. First edition first printing book with Scribner A on the copyright page is in near fine condition with slight fading to spine. Book clean and square Neatly repaired jacket is VG with slight chipping along extremities and front fold. Top of spine is quite frayed and two large chips.Jacket is unclipped($3.00), with minor shelf wear to back of jacket. Mylar protected. In Across the River and into the Trees, there is a concept of the same intensity as Hemingway's iconic novel of the Spanish Civil War, For Whom the Bell Tolls. like that story which is centered upon a microcosm of action of and American in the midst of a group of guerrilla fighters, this book is limited to the short span in the life of a single American.
