About this Item

This is the extremely scarce revised edition of this title published by Devin-Adair in 1968 as part of their Revisionist Library. The publishing history of this book is concisely noted on the reverse side of the Contents page: "An early version of this book was first published in England in 1948. A second revised and greatly enlarged version appeared in the United States in 1953. This version was then translated into German and published in Hamburg in 1954; and a second edition was published in Wiesbaden in 1962. The present edition is a major revision of the earlier versions." A near fine book with a few small, faint spots on the fore-edge and a little waviness to part of the edges of three leaves (105,107,109). These must have gotten a little wet in the past and dried thus. These are the only flaws, the rest of the book is fine, virtually 'as new'. The predominantly black, very good plus (price-clipped) dustjacket has light edgewear and a bit of rubbing (as is commonly found on black jackets) to the spine tips and folds, as well as some on the front panel, and there is mild foxing on the rear flap at the fold, otherwise the jacket is fine - no missing paper, no fading, and. no creasing.
