The Adventures of Tom Bombadil and other verses from The Red Book, consist of 16 poems, three about Tom Bombadil himself, one about a hobbit and a troll, two about the Man in the Moon, six which represent simply "adventures", and four which are in the nature of a bestiary, familiar places to instill the feel of a Middle Earth setting
About the Author: J.R.R.Tolkien (1892-1973) was a distinguished academic, though he is best known for writing The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion, plus other stories and essays. His books have been translated into over 30 languages and have sold many millions of copies worldwide.

Jacket has faults - namely edge/shelf wear, few small patches of loss to top (picture) surface, rubbing, few small marks, a little patchy creasing/rubbing to edges, little pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine, a little pushing/bumping to corners, patchy browning/odd small marks/minor foxing to reverse (white side), minor creasing/rubbing to front/back inner flaps and is in only good condition. Boards are very good with minor pushing/bumping to corners, patchy rubbing to edges, the odd small bump and minor pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Neat gift inscription and date in pen to front end-paper. Pages slightly tanned. Odd small mark/spots of foxing to top edge of pages.
