Synopsis: Suddenly torn from his family, 12-year-old Ahiram is sold as a slave in the Kingdom of Tanniin. Six years later, in order to win his freedom and return home, Ahiram enters the elite Games of the Mines. Pursued relentlessly by his enemies and driven to the limit of his endurance, Ahiram unwittingly awakens a dormant fury within him, and its resonance is caught by a hidden malice that turns the Games into a living nightmare. Refusing to submit to a cruel tyranny, Ahiram must face a harrowing death in the bowels of the earth. Still, a glimmer of hope remains. For deep within the mines, between stone and gold, a power --unlike anything the world has seen -- quietly calls his name.
About the Author: Born in Lebanon, Michael lived through the first 3 years of the Lebanese War, leaving for Paris in 1978. Since his early childhood, Michael was fascinated by the sarcophagus of King Ahiram of Byblos because it bears the most ancient alphabetical inscription known to mankind. This fascination grew over the years as he immigrated to France, Canada, and the United States, which led to an epic nurtured by a Lebanese imagination and sprinkled with rich European and American heritages. Speaking Arabic, French, and English fluently, Michael created a world where parsley and mint are as important as the finest sword, and love is measured by the shining depth of an evanescent gaze. "Age of the Seer" is a heroic and Romanesque tale of many faces, inspired by the high peaks of Lebanon and the shining shores of America.
