About this Item

Compiled by a graduate of the Albany Law School upon graduation in 1860. He had 3 of his professors and 58 of his classmates inscribe their names and cities with an occasional additional comment. All the inscriptions are accompanied by 1" by 1-1/8" paper photographs. The compiler's name appears to be "S. G. Strong" and his photo appears on the first page. The next page is by Ira Harris who lectured at the school on equity jurisprudence since the school's founding in 1850. Harris then became a Justice of the State Supreme Court and was a Republican U. S. Senator in the 1860's. The next signature is from Prof. Amos Dean who taught from 1850. The next page is signed by Amasa J. Parker who was one of the founders. Of the following 58 pages of signatures, one is missing a photo. Condition: 8 of the photos are damaged - stuck together - maybe too much glue. I haven't tried to separate them or they will peel. The album's binding is loose and the backstrip is gone. Bookseller Inventory # 6081
