Title: Album of Cyanotype Snapshots
Publication Date: 1899
Book Condition: Very Good+
Red cloth with bolt binding, "Photographs" stamped on front cover; oblong (200 x 140 mm); contains approximately 200 cyanotypes, average size 3.5 x 2.25 inches, some smaller; affixed to the recto and verso either by corner slots (thus, removable) or glued, most of them captioned in ink. Binding a little worn; a few leaves detached. Charming cyanotype snapshots, for the most part nicely composed, exposed, and printed -- with a few instances of blurred motion or a twinkle of refracted light, but prettily so. Includes images of family and friends sailing and canoeing in Eastern Massachusetts and along the coastline, including New York Harbor and Coney Island. Towns depicted include Lexington, Concord, Gloucester, Hyannis Port, Boston, Princeton, and (possibly) somewhere in Connecticut. The subject enjoy Harvard baseball, picnics, dogs, and silly portraits. Good times. Bookseller Inventory # D9234
